Christmas lighting questions we hear most from our neighbors.
What does Christmas light installation cost?
It depends on the roofline: how many linear feet get lit, how many peaks and stories are involved, what access is like, and whether you want trees, columns, or wreaths included. That’s why every quote starts with a walk of the property rather than a number over the phone. The first season includes the materials, which we store and reuse in later years.
When should I book Christmas lighting?
October, if you want a choice of install dates. Design walks start in early fall and the calendar fills from the top down. The last two weeks of November are the first to go every year, and booking by November 15 gets you free takedown and storage.
Do you take the Christmas lights down afterwards?
Yes. We come back after the holidays, usually through January, and remove the whole display. Takedown is free when you book by November 15; after that it’s quoted as an add-on.
Where do the lights go between seasons?
We store them. Your set comes down, gets labeled, and stays organized in our facility until next fall. Because the design and cut lengths are on file, the second season goes up faster than the first.
What happens if a bulb or a section goes out mid-season?
Tell us and we come back out and fix it. Mid-season maintenance is part of the job, not a callout fee.
Can you hang lights I already own?
Generally no. We install commercial-grade C9 and mini LEDs that we cut to your roofline on site, and we guarantee and service the result through the season. We can’t do either on strands of unknown age cut for a different house. If you have lights you’re attached to, mention it on the design walk and we’ll talk it through.
Will hanging the lights damage my roof or gutters?
The clips are sized to your shingle, tile, or gutter, and nothing is stapled or nailed through the fascia. When the display comes down in January, there’s nothing left behind to show where it was.
What’s the difference between permanent and Christmas lighting?
Permanent lighting is LED track installed once and left in place; it runs any color or scene from an app, all year. Christmas lighting is a seasonal display we design, install, maintain, take down, and store. We do both. See permanent lighting.
Do you install Christmas lighting for businesses?
Yes. Storefronts, offices, HOAs, and commercial properties are all work we take, with the same process: a property walk, a design to the architecture, installation, maintenance through the season, and takedown in January.
